the occasion of the 17th Days Medical, Pharmaceutical, dental and veterinary medicine of the University of Dakar, a medical conference bringing together more than a thousand doctors from West Africa, telemedicine is put to the honor. Professor Meïssa Toure, co-organizer of the conference and the focal point of RAFT for Senegal, has in fact organized a workshop on publicity and sharing of experiences of telemedicine in Africa. RAFT is presented in the plenary, thereby to publicize this project to the community Medical.
On this occasion, a delegation was received by President of the Republic of Senegal, whose work focuses on the role of ICT to improve the situation of medical deserts in rural areas.
A focal point meeting of RAFT also helps refine the strategy of network development for 2009 and prepare for the workshop coordinators of RAFT to be held in Abidjan in April.
