Dr. Cheick Oumar Bagayoko has successfully defended his doctoral thesis in medical informatics and public health at the University of the Mediterranean in Marseille.
Mr. Bagayoko's thesis, written under the direction of Professor Marius Fieschi, Laboratory for Teaching and Research on Treatment of Medical Information, LERTIM, Faculty of Medicine of the University of the Mediterranean entitled "Establishment of a hospital information system in Francophone Africa: ICZN @ n, and model validation study in Mali."
This work is at the intersection of several fields of medical informatics and addresses a wide range of topics: hospital information systems, software engineering, organizational aspects and governance, human factors and socio-cultural. It addresses a significant problem, when international organizations and governments seek to achieve the expected benefits of eHealth, including the implementation of systems Information for care and public health.
The jury, composed of personalities from the world of medical informatics French praised the excellent work and awarded to the grantee the highest possible distinction, the words "Right Honourable".
